Conn.'s $1B construction program to support job creation, retention

A $1 billion plan for Connecticut's roads and bridges is expected to generate or maintain an estimated 20,000 construction jobs, according to Gov. Dannel Malloy. Work will include the rehabilitation of 40 or more bridges and 250 miles of state highways. The state's bond commission recently approved a $537 million bond package, which will help fund the projects.
