Data breach affects 1,087 patients in Ind.

Clark Memorial Hospital in Indiana announced a data breach that occurred July 15 and affected 1,087 patients, in which contractor Mail Louisville sent billing statements to the wrong names and addresses. Compromised data included service dates, amounts settled by insurance and remaining balances. "The hospital has worked with Mail Louisville for many years without incident and trust that they have taken, and will continue to take, the necessary steps to resolve this issue," hospital officials said.
