EnteroMedics' application for obesity device accepted by FDA

The FDA has accepted EnteroMedics' premarket approval application for its Maestro Rechargeable System's VBLOC neurostimulation implant. The device, which delivers electrical pulses to stimulate the vagus nerve, is intended to help treat patients with obesity.
