ESMA considers delaying derivatives reporting deadline

The European Securities and Markets Authority is responding to industry concerns by looking into the idea of postponing a reporting deadline for exchange-traded derivatives. "ESMA is considering delaying the requirement to report exchange-traded derivatives trades to repositories," according to an ESMA spokesman. "The delay could be by up to one year, as this is felt to be needed in order to provide guidance on how market participants should report listed products."
