European Parliament members question IFRS

Five members of the European Parliament have proposed an amendment to a pending regulation calling for a review of how International Financial Reporting Standards are used in the EU and whether they comply with the regions' laws. They also proposed an amendment attaching conditions to funding for the IFRS Foundation, the International Accounting Standards Board's parent body. The conditions would affect the board's governance and standard-setting.
