Premiums for exchange-sold plans differ by type, state

Premiums for health insurance policies sold through the Affordable Care Act marketplaces will be lower than expected for some plans and higher for others. States in which one carrier dominates the individual policy market are likely to have higher rates than states with multiple carriers offering plans, but some carriers that declined to participate in exchanges may enter the market later, experts said.
