Q2 earnings fall 11.4% for Choice Hotels International

Choice Hotels International posted earnings of $28.2 million during the second quarter, down 11.4% from $31.9 million in the previous year. Revenue was up 6%, to $183.6 million. Revenue per available room at domestic hotels rose 3.5% amid a 1.8% rise in average daily rate and an increase in occupancy of 90 basis points.
