Topical gel relieves pain associated with tissue adhesives

More than half of children and teens who were given a topical analgesic experienced no pain from the tissue adhesive used to repair their minor cuts, compared with 28% in the placebo group, a Canadian study showed. The findings, based on more than 200 pediatric patients aged 3 months to 17 years, were published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
