Study: Higher sea levels increase minor flooding along U.S. coast

Minor, or "nuisance," flooding along the U.S. coast has become more common because of rising sea levels, according to a report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Further increases in sea levels would bring "much more severe" floods, said William Sweet, the study's lead author.
