NCLB could spell trouble for some charter schools in North Carolina

The No Child Left Behind Act's focus on academic performance may lead to the closure of some predominantly black charter schools in the state. "We have never closed a charter school on academic grounds, but No Child Left Behind does set the stage for that to happen," state schools chief Mike Ward said.
