Restaurants make special accommodations for diners with allergies

About 12 million Americans suffer from a food allergy, and eight foods, including milk, peanuts, wheat and shellfish, account for 90% of all reactions in the U.S., according to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Many restaurants are taking serious precautions to avoid allergic reactions, including Colorado's Beau Jo's, which purchases special pizza shells from a gluten-free bakery in Denver.
