Arkansas officials debate who gets get oil-lease money

A debate is growing in Arkansas over whether $29.5 million from Chesapeake Energy oil and gas leases on public land should be spent only by state conservation agencies or shared with other state offices. State Sen. Steve Faris is advocating spreading the money around, but the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has indicated it will resist sharing the money with nonwildlife agencies.
