House begins hearings on Delta-Northwest merger

A House subcommittee convenes today to address concerns over the proposed Delta-Northwest merger. The Health, Employment, Labor and Pensions subcommittee will hear testimony from employee representatives concerned the merger will not allow both airlines to fulfill pension agreements. Delta announced plans in April to acquire Michigan-based Northwest in a stock-swap deal.
