Hospital groups strategize to keep up with imaging storage demands

Several hospital organizations have formulated strategies in order to meet the rapidly growing demand for imaging storage and keeping up with advances in modality capabilities and evolving patient demographics. Officials at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center have collaborated with GE Healthcare to develop an overarching digital image storage strategy for their system. Meanwhile, New Jersey-based Atlantic Health deployed a three-tier storage-area network program for the benefit of their radiologists.
