PQ pegs WOM spend at $1.5B

Spending on word-of-mouth marketing reached $1.54 billion in 2008, led by a 14.2% surge in spending on buzz, influencer, community and viral marketing. PQ Media forecasts an additional 10.2% increase in word-of-mouth spending this year.
