Video games could play a part in math instruction

A summer pilot program at three Florida middle schools is testing the use of video games to teach math skills. About 20 students have spent eight weeks solving equations in the games "Meltdown" and "Swarm," which combine math questions with game play. "They don't even realize they are learning math," said a teacher.
