Chipotle says its stores already comply with ADA

Chipotle Mexican Grill retrofitted its stores several years ago to allow complete access to customers in wheelchairs, company officials said. The announcement came after a U.S. appeals court ruled this week that the chain's high counters denied a customer full access to the "Chipotle experience" from his wheelchair on two occasions in 2005. "The matter is largely moot because, several years ago -- independent of this lawsuit -- we retrofitted all of our California restaurants with a new counter design that eliminates any concern regarding wheelchair accessibility," said spokesman Chris Arnold.
