Ellen DeGeneres votes herself off "American Idol"

Ellen DeGeneres, after just one season of a five-year deal as a judge on "American Idol," is exiting the Fox reality competition. DeGeneres said the role was not the "right fit," but her leaving, along with the departure of Simon Cowell, seems to indicate major changes are afoot for the show's lineup. Fox did not comment on a report on Deadline.com that Jennifer Lopez has already been signed to take DeGeneres' spot.
