Carriers' payment venture Isis preps nationwide launch

After months of out-of-town tryouts in two cities, the Isis mobile payment service said Tuesday that it will be ready for its national rollout later this year. Isis, which is supported by AT&T, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile US, will allow in-store shoppers to use their iPhones, Blackberrys and Windows Phones as well as selected Android models to pay for products. "What you’ll see coming from us is a vastly improved product, a variety of new places to use it, a vastly improved user experience," said Ryan Hughes, Isis' chief marketing officer.
