CBS stations are restored to Time Warner Cable after short blackout

Time Warner Cable around midnight on Monday blacked out CBS stations in New York, Los Angeles and other major markets due to a dispute over retransmission-consent fees, but it restored the service less than 30 minutes later at the behest of CBS. A new deadline for negotiating a final pact has been set for 5 p.m. Friday. "CBS remains resolute in the pursuit of fair compensation for our programming," the network said in a statement.
