Feeding America improves supply chain with global product tracker system

Hunger relief organization Feeding America is teaming up with data provider 1WorldSync for access to the Global Data Synchronization Network, a tool that gives the organization access to hundreds of data points about each food item it handles via barcodes. The system is currently used by over 15,000 manufacturers to store and communicate information about products as they travel around the globe. “The wealth of information available via 1WorldSync allows us to greatly improve the efficiency of our supply chain and free resources, enabling us to get more food to more people in need,” said Feeding America's senior VP of technology Kevin Lutz.
