Grant to fund study of open military service for trans troops

The Palm Center has received a three-year, $1.35 million grant to study issues surrounding service by openly transgender individuals in the U.S. military. Troops whose trans status is discovered are discharged under current U.S. military policy. Similar policies have been dropped recently in other countries.
