An Iowa high school this fall will launch a biomedical science curriculum as part of the Project Lead the Way program. The class will include the study of DNA, genetic diseases and crime-scene investigations, as well as visits from health care professionals from the community. "It's a lot of what they would be doing in a college lab, but they are getting this at the high-school level," teacher Erica Malloy said. "When they go to college, they will be ahead of the game."
