NSA surveillance program adds new wrinkle to cloud security issue

The issue of security is often cited as one of the leading impediments to the adoption of public cloud services by enterprises, and experts say recent revelations of widespread cybersurveillance by the National Security Agency have only amplified those concerns. In addition to placing higher scrutiny on security to prevent employees from accessing and possibly sharing sensitive material, commentator Jordan Novet writes, companies will likely pay more attention to where their data is housed, choosing countries that they perceive to have stringent privacy standards.
