Report: Young consumers embrace smartphone-only banking

Banks that want to reach young consumers must offer mobile applications, since many in that age group rely on their smartphones for mobile banking and skip PCs, finds an Aite Group report. The report finds that retail and business customers now expect banks to have mobile apps, and many banks already offer them, along with mobile browser banking and text-message-based banking.
