SEC's White aims for quick action on fiduciary standard

The Securities and Exchange Commission is moving "as quickly as we can" to determine whether to adopt a uniform fiduciary standard for stockbrokers and financial advisers who give advice to individual investors, Chairman Mary Jo White says. "That's something we are focused on, but we obviously have a very full plate of mandatory rule makings as well," she told the Senate banking committee.
