TTCI testing new Amtrak locomotives for Northeast Corridor service

The Transportation Technology Center Inc. is conducting rigorous tests on Amtrak's new 125-mph electrical locomotives that will be used in the Northeast Corridor. A recent demonstration for the Amtrak Cities Sprinter occurred at TTCI's testing facility in Pueblo, Colo. "These locomotives are the new workhorses of the Amtrak fleet in the Northeast and they must meet our performance-based specifications and reliability needs so we can keep the region’s people and economy moving," said Amtrak President and CEO Joseph Boardman.
