China moves to protect capital market during Olympics

The China Securities Regulatory Commission is preparing to deal with rumour-driven trading or malicious attacks that might destabilise the stock market during the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Commission Chairman Shang Fulin, speaking at a regulatory conference, also said companies will be urged during the year's second half to raise capital by issuing bonds, in the interest of strengthening the corporate-bond market.
