Colgate says ad spending brought record revenues

Colgate-Palmolive attributes its most recent spike in earnings to the company's higher worldwide ad spending. Some of Colgate's newest products, including the 360-degree Sonic Power battery toothbrush and Irish Spring Moisture Blast, also have been a boon to the company, even during slow economic times. Colgate plans to release two more new products during the third quarter of this year.
