Cruise lines encourage agents to use marketing tools

Vicki Freed of Royal Caribbean International and Jan Swartz of Princess Cruises are striving to get more travel agents to use the Web-based marketing tools the cruise lines have made available. Travel agents, however, are concerned about giving cruise lines information regarding their clients. Freed, in response, said the agents' client information is protected because the e-tools are hosted by third-party providers.
