Virginia names new state superintendent

Former math teacher Patricia Wright will become Virginia's next schools chief after more than 20 years with the state's education department. Wright, who will succeed Billy Cannaday Jr. on Oct. 1, said she intends to expand access to prekindergarten and technical education.
