Minnesota files lawsuit against I-35 bridge consultant

Minnesota officials have filed a lawsuit against the main consultant that inspected the I-35 bridge that collapsed two years ago in the Twin Cities. The lawsuit alleges that San Francisco-based URS Corp. did not properly scrutinize the condition of the bridge or inspect the bridge. A URS spokesman said the company will "vigorously" defend itself and noted that the National Transportation Safety Board has indicated that the original design of the bridge contributed to the collapse.
