Boeing seeks to boost plants' productivity, capacity

Boeing plans to postpone work on its next-generation 737s in favor of more conservative new-engine 737s. With the move, the company aims to ratchet up productivity across all product lines, and perhaps build new manufacturing plants rather than making major investments in its flagship Renton factory near Seattle.
