Delaware teachers learn approaches to AP lessons

In Delaware, 130 teachers are enrolled in a summer professional-development program to help them teach Advanced Placement courses. The training focuses on material covered in AP curricula, as well as best practices for course design. "Students have a variety of approaches to learning," said chemistry teacher Jennifer Vosburgh. "Students don't respond to rigor. They respond to engagement. So when you engage them, you can start to raise that bar every day."
