When should students start kindergarten?

Some parents nationwide are choosing to enroll their children in kindergarten later, saying older students will have a leg up -- academically and emotionally. However, researchers and experts say there is evidence for and against later school enrollment. One study showed the academic benefits of a later start, while another study found a connection between being older than other students and behavioral problems. Another research paper found the age of kindergarten entrance makes little difference over time.
