Airlines change procedures to aim for faster boarding

Boarding passengers on aircraft in the most efficient way has long been a goal of airlines. Recently, American Airlines and United Airlines have tweaked the boarding process. American is allowing passengers without carry-on luggage for overhead bins to board first, while United reduced the number of its boarding groups.
