BIM use entails new risk-management challenges for AEC firms

Building information modeling has streamlined work for architecture, engineering and construction firms, although it poses new risk-management concerns, writes Earl Cantwell, an attorney with Hurwitz & Fine. Cantwell cites various benefits gained when using BIM, but also notes that risk management can become an issue. He suggests four techniques that could be adopted to address these concerns.
