ECB could stand pat, analysts say

The European Central Bank, increasingly confident about a recovery, might decline to use additional policy tools to jump-start the economy, analysts say. "People are a bit more optimistic about the second half," said Janet Henry of HSBC Holdings. "[The ECB is] keeping the door open to doing more, if and when required, but at the moment, the baseline scenario is intact that we do get some kind of recovery later in the year."
