ERCOT raises installed wind capacity outlook for 2013

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas raised its total grid-linked wind capacity estimate for 2013 to 11,732 megawatts, up from 11,394 MW in its May projections, according to a report from the council's system planning division. ERCOT cited an interconnection deal for a proposed 499-MW wind farm in Castro County for the revised outlook. Generation request for wind projects in June topped 21,669 MW, compared to 20,444 MW in May, the report showed.
