Immigrants will generate growth in labor force, experts predict

Almost all growth in the U.S. labor force over the next several decades will be attributable to immigrants and their children, write Bruce Katz and Jennifer Bradley, both affiliated with the Brookings Institution. Metropolitan areas that "work hard to educate and integrate their immigrant families will set themselves up for success," they write. "Places that ignore them -- or wait until Washington acts first -- will not."
