Nintendo bets on new games to revive sluggish console unit

Nintendo posted a profit in the most recent quarter despite a significant decline in sales of Wii consoles. The company -- which sold 160,000 Wii U consoles in the quarter ended June 30 -- attributed the slump to the absence of new games, which it plans to address with a suite of upcoming titles, including Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3 and Wii Party U.
