U.K. directs more than $141M into medical innovation efforts

The U.K. government will infuse more than $141 million into the country's health sector in an effort to become a global leader in innovation. The support includes about $39.3 million to the Biomedical Catalyst, an initiative designed to bring medical innovations more quickly to market; about $57.7 million to a new National Biologics Manufacturing Centre; and millions to fund competitions targeting specific health issues.
