U.S. consumer confidence slips from 5-year high

Consumers, facing increased gasoline prices and borrowing costs, have become less confident with their economic outlook. The Conference Board's index is at 80.3 this month, compared with June's revised 82.1. Despite the decline, July's reading is the second-highest level since January 2008.
