Pa. students blend journalism with service-learning projects

A group of students in grades four through seven recently combined service-learning projects and journalism as part of a Young Writers' Camp in Pennsylvania. They performed such service projects as preparing emergency kits, fixing food and cleaning up trash, and took notes and conducted interviews before writing their articles for a student publication.
