Va. students create videos about historical figures, sites

A group of Virginia middle-school students recently studied historical figures such as Clara Barton and visited battlefields and other sites in the region as part of a leadership camp. Students created videos to share with peers, parents and local leaders to showcase what they had learned about the people and sites they covered. "They learn a lot about themselves not only from each other but from the historical leaders they study as well," said camp director Blaine Horton.
