Anti-AIDS gel cleared for human trial

Australian pharmaceutical company Starpharma yesterday announced that the FDA has given it clearance to test its anti-AIDS gel on humans. The gel, which is targeted at women in developing countries, proved to be 100% effective in primate trials.
