Verizon Wireless to unwrap "Chocolate" phone

Verizon Wireless this week will begin selling the sleek music-playing "Chocolate" phone from LG Electronics, a move seen as a direct challenge to Apple Computer's iPod. Verizon plans to launch a multiplatform marketing campaign to promote the device, and the campaign will be supplemented by LG's own promotion. Verizon says it will not require customers to sign up for its $15-per-month data plan to download songs.
