Gaylord calls latest offer to unions a "last-ditch effort"

Gaylord Entertainment's most recent proposal to local unions gives preference to San Diego County-based union contractors in the bidding process for construction projects, but does not limit its options to those contractors. A company official called the proposal a "last-ditch effort" to develop a $1 billion hotel and convention center on the Chula Vista bayfront.
