Hawaiian Airlines posts $54.3 million profit for second quarter

Hawaiian Holdings, the parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, posted net income of $54.3 million for the second quarter. The airline picked up 21% more passengers in the second quarter after competitors ATA Airlines and Aloha Airlines folded. The company posted a net loss of $3.9 million last year in the second quarter.
