IAB releases draft protocol for digital video ad serving

The IAB is seeking public comment through Sept. 10 on its "Digital Video Ad Serving Template," a series of recommendations to foster the development of digital video players and ad servers that "speak the same standard language." "It really enables further standardization through the back end, versus the sales product end," said Jeremy Fain, senior director of industry services at IAB. "This is really a back-end efficiency initiative which will enable more sales."
